Truth vs. WBC: Disasters 1 by willylliw Truth vs. WBC: Disasters 1 by willylliw

I am personally here to correct the LIES of Westboro with the truth of what the word of God really means.

NOTE: I know that reading this will more likely strike some nerves. This is NOT in any way to offend or upset anyone. I do NOT hate people of other beliefs, nations, or homosexuals. If I did, I won’t bother writing this. I want to get some things cleared up about who God really is, and the lies and deceptions of Westboro. So I apologize in advance.

It's easy for people to mistake love for hatred when someone preaches against sin. But I am trying to warn people out of genuine love and concern for their souls. If you believe that something bad is going to happen to another person, like going to Hell, and you don't even try to warn them, then you obviously don't care about them. I care.

Also, please feel free to share this report with others. However, PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING, EVEN IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH WHAT IS WRITTEN!!! This report was very carefully written and there is NO need for changes!

Disasters

Part 1 of 2

Disasters are a major part of living here on earth. We hear it all over the media of violent storms, earthquakes, volcanoes, terrorist, and deadly illnesses that claim many lives every year. We many times wonder why a loving God would allow things like this in the world. But when we go back to the book of Genesis when Adam and Eve sinned by disobeying God by eating from the forbidden tree, the entire world suffered because sin entered into the world. All that was pure and holy was destroyed. Disasters entered the world, illnesses were developed, pain and suffering were felt, and the world was separated from God. However, due to God’s divine love for everyone, He did NOT abandon ANYONE. He instead instructed the world to give Him their burdens of disaster. Give Him the illnesses no matter how hopeless they may seem. When disaster destroys your possessions and loved ones, He will provide and comfort. He will also protect those who trust Him (life will NOT be perfect and disaster-free, but He will comfort, provide, and give peace). God cares very much when people suffer because suffering is not from Him and is willing to express His love for them by helping them. This is why it is detestable to thank God for the killing of people. God is righteous in ALL His ways. Westboro however see these events as a way to boast about themselves as being righteous people (more like self-righteous) and destroying hope and peace from God.

WBC: Thank God for 9/11

On September 11, 2001 there was a massive attack by terrorist who used airlines to destroy the World Trade Centers in New York City, severely damaged the Pentagon in Washington DC, and slaughtered over 3000 people within 2 hours. The event caused panic across the nation and made worldwide news. But millions across the nation worked together to support and comfort the disaster. However, Westboro saw it as an event to condemn homosexuals, politics, and Jews. They told the nation to thank God for the killing of the innocent. To this day, they still see 9/11 as a wonderful event.

Why did this event take place? I have no idea, I can’t even guess. But I do know this for a fact: NEVER thank God for a disaster because He takes no pleasure in disasters.

WBC: God is USA’s Terrorist

Where in the scripture does it illustrate God as a terrorist? We all know that terrorists are motivated by domination, hatred toward a particular group of people, or a foolish stunt. God is neither one of those. Through the Old Testament, God would send His people to war. Some were surprise attacks, but NEVER were they terrorist acts. If WBC or anyone else truly thinks of God as a hateful terrorist, they are in big trouble. Will they say that to God’s face?

AIDS/Illnesses

From the 50s –the 70s, people use to believe that AIDS was transmitted from homosexuals due to their style of sexual intercourse. However, that’s just not so. As a medical student, the AIDS virus is a transmitted illness through ANY kind of blood contact and ANYONE can get it. It’s must commonly a sexually transmitted disease. Westboro still likes to think of the virus as a ‘homosexual killer’.

For some crazy reason, many people beside Westboro believe that illnesses, injuries, and death are some kind of punishment. Grant it, some people do ask for it by poor hygiene, lack of washing hands, alcohol and drug abuse, poor diet, prostitution, foolish stunts, and careless sexual acts. But in other cases, illnesses are a natural thing which everyone gets every now and then like the flu/cold. God help Westboro if anyone of them get AIDS or any kind of illness. God can heal the sick and ALL pain no matter how hopeless the situation seems to be when we have faith in Him only.

Joplin Tornado (2011)

A massive EF5 tornado roared through the small town of Joplin, Missouri. 158 people were killed and over 1000 were injured. This was named one of the ‘Worst American Disasters’ ever. Westboro did plan to picket the town by saying ‘God Hates Joplin’. But thank God other God loving churches got there first holding signs saying ‘God Loves Joplin’ and ‘God Supports Joplin’.  When disaster strikes, God is ALWAYS first at the scene and ready to give support and comfort when we cry out to Him. He promises He WILL listen to your cries, and nothing will ever change that.

God created our emotions, and it is not sinful or inappropriate to express them. If you have experienced deep loss, a disappointment, or a heartbreak, admit your feelings to yourself and others, and grieve.

Sandy Hook Shooting (2012)

After the Sandy Hood Elementary School shooting (which claimed 28 lives, 20 were children), Westboro picketed at the school and sang hymns of praise to God thanking Him for carrying out His judgment against the state by killing the innocent. Again they blamed homosexuality for the incident. I could only imagine what God must feel hearing people sing praises to Him for killing masses of children.

NEVER thank God for a disaster because He takes no pleasure in disasters.

Many people think that believing in God protects them from trouble, so when calamity comes, they question God’s goodness and justice. You should not give up on God because He allows you to have bad experiences. Faith in God does not guarantee personal prosperity, and lack of faith does not guarantee troubles in this life. If this were so, people would believe in God simply to get rich. God’s is capable of rescuing us from suffering, but He may also allow suffering to come for a reason we cannot understand. It is Satan’s strategy to get us to doubt God at exactly this moment. If we always knew why we were suffering, our faith would have no room to grow.

Massive Earthquakes

“Thanking God for the heavy loss of life in China, and praying for many more earthquakes to kill many more thousands of impudent and ungrateful Chinese.” – Fred Phelps

Now they are praying to God to kill more people they hate. Just to let you all know, if you pray to God asking Him to harm people you despise, He is NOT going to bother listening to you.

When we pray to God, He promises to listen because He cares and loves all people. He also says ‘ask and you shall receive by faith in Him only’. But when our motives are wrong and against His word, your prayers will not be answered. Which is probably why many people say they pray but receive nothing. God is fair and just, and will not give people anything that will harm others or anything they cannot be trusted with. Westboro is wasting their breath praying for more deaths in the world. Why not use their prayer time for repentance and mercy for themselves and the world?

The second half will be posted next time. Thanks for reading!

Fred Phelps is not Christian because he thanks God for natural disasters, mass shootings, and his abuse of the freedom of speech.  I wish that the Vatican condemns the westboro baptist church so that Fred can open his eyes to all the controversy that he and his followers caused.

Fred Phelps and all of Westboro will realize what they are doing is wrong. However, many of them will realize that too late. That's very sad.

Sorry but I don't think the Vatican has the power to change Westboro, only Christ can do that.
